You need two measurements and a tape measure. Take them standing in front of a mirror, wearing an unpadded bra — or none. The tape should rest on your body, never pull tight.
The two measurements
-
1
Underbust
Wrap the tape just under your bust, parallel to the floor, and close it snugly. This measurement gives you the band size: 70, 75, 80…
-
2
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, without compressing. Together with the underbust it gives you the cup size.
1. Find your band size
Find your underbust in the first column. The number in bold is your European band size.
| Underbust | EU | UK | ITA |
|---|---|---|---|
| 63–67 | 65 | 30 | 1 |
| 68–72 | 70 | 32 | 2 |
| 73–77 | 75 | 34 | 3 |
| 78–82 | 80 | 36 | 4 |
| 83–87 | 85 | 38 | 5 |
| 88–92 | 90 | 40 | 6 |
| 93–97 | 95 | 42 | 7 |
| 98–102 | 100 | 44 | 8 |
| 103–107 | 105 | 46 | 9 |
| 108–112 | 110 | 48 | 10 |
| 113–117 | 115 | 50 | 11 |
| 118–123 | 120 | 52 | 12 |
2. Find your cup size
Subtract the band size number (not your measured underbust) from your bust measurement. The difference gives you the cup size.
| Difference | EU cup | UK cup |
|---|---|---|
| 12–14 cm | A | A |
| 14–16 cm | B | B |
| 16–18 cm | C | C |
| 18–20 cm | D | D |
| 20–22 cm | E | DD |
| 22–24 cm | F | E |
| 24–26 cm | G | F |
| 26–28 cm | H | FF |
| 28–30 cm | I | G |
| 30–32 cm | J | GG |
| 32–34 cm | K | H |
| 34–36 cm | L | HH |
| 36–38 cm | M | J |
| 38–40 cm | N | JJ |
| 40–42 cm | O | K |
An example
- Underbust 79 cm → in the first table it falls within 78–82, so band size 80.
- Bust 100 cm.
- 100 − 80 = 20 cm → in the second table, cup E European (DD in UK sizes).

Values in centimetres. Large letter = European cup, with the UK equivalent in small print below.
If you are between two sizes
-
—The band should stay horizontal across your back and not ride up. If it rides up, go down a band size and up a cup size.
-
—The underwire should rest on your ribcage, not on your breast. If it presses on your breast, you need a bigger cup.
-
—Fasten a new bra on the loosest hook: with wear the fabric gives and you will be able to tighten it.
-
—Band and cup balance each other out: 75D, 80C and 70E have the same cup volume, only the band circumference changes.
Underwear and knitwear
S–M–L–XL scale. If in doubt, compare the measurements with a garment you usually wear: each product page shows the fit stated by the brand.
Socks and tights
The size depends on height and weight together, not on your shoe size. Every pack shows the manufacturer's chart.
